Hello,
Sore veins in the arms above the wrist may be indicative of Phlebitis. It occurs due to genetic factor, age, less fat in the hand, overuse, etc. Other causes can be infection, trauma, or
autoimmune disease that causes the vein to become inflamed, the vein could swell and become sore.
Superficial thrombophlebitis is inflammation of a
superficial vein (phlebitis) caused by a blood clot (
thrombus). You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP.
Get the required blood and imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing the discomfort. Get treated at the earliest. Thrombophlebitis of the neck veins can cause painful neck. You have history of anemia. Take home made food rich in iron, calcium and proteins. You can take analgesics (
Acetaminophen), one SOS when required to ease discomfort. Stay away from stressful lifestyle and avoid addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
