What Do Spreading, Small, Red Bumps On Back, Stomach And Chest Suggest?
Hello. I have small red bumps covering my entire back, stomach and chest. They do not itch or cause pain. They seem to be spreading to my shoulders and the back of my neck. I am not allergic to anything that I know of and can t think of anything that I have done differently recently. What could it be?
The bumps that are spreading on the back, stomach and chest and are non itchy are commonly caused by contact dermatitis. You can take antihistamines for relief. Take care of your hygiene. Do not share your toiletries with anyone. Wash your clothes in Savlon / Dettol or in hot water. You can apply calamine lotion or Clotrimazole cream / Hydrocortisone cream in the area affected after having a bath.
When outdoors, wear cotton clothes. Avoid exposure to excessive sunlight. It should get reduced. Avoid sex if sexually active for a few days. Avoid multiple partners, always perform safe sex. If the bumps are resistant, get clinically examined by a dermatologist, you may need to take a course of Augmentin or any other antibiotics. To be on the safer side get STD tests done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
