Every since I have been having problems with feeling like something is stuck in my throat. I keep a lot of phlem in my throat and sinus. I wonder if I did t eat a parasite. The mucus in my throat seem to move around from throat to sinus but never move from the throat. I am schedule to see a general 12/18. I am worried and do not know what to do. I have been to the emergency twice but they keep telling me to go to a general doctor.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
My thoughts and suggestions are as below. It seems that eating at a flea market instigated gastritis along with GERD that is gastroesophageal reflux disease.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Small frequent meals of soft and bland diet.
Take Omeprazole, Domperidone and antacids.
Consult your Primary Physician.
If there is no relief ask for referral to a Gastroenterologist for upper GI endoscopy and additional treatment.
Also take a second opinion of an ENT Surgeon for throat and sinus problems.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
