What Do Sweating And Dizziness After Hitting Head Suggest?

I hit the frontal part of my head (not my forehead) with the edge of a cabinet. It wasn t a lot but I am now dizzy and was sweating a lot 5-10 minutes post hit. Formulating words and word finding was somewhat difficult but has been resolving in the past 20 minutes. What should I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

With such a history I would advise you to maintain keen observation for the following:
- Vision disturbance
- Continued or worsening dizziness
- Change of sensorium
- Vomiting
- Headache
- Vertigo
- Feeling anything out of normal
If you develop any of the above symptoms then rush to ER that is Emergency Room or nearby Hospital as the case may be. MRI or CT scan of brain after clinical evaluation by a Doctor to know the aftereffects of head injury. Further treatment will depend upon the clinical findings and Radiology findings.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
