What Do Swelling And Inflammation In The Throat Indicate?
I do not and have not felt good for some time. and whatever is going on, seems to be worsening. I have lost strength, and find myself winded when climbing stairs. When I first start walking I am struggling, but then seem to find energy. however what bothers me most because I can t figure out, is why I feel this swelling or inflammation in my throat. I did see an endocrinologist who says I have the beginnings of Hashimotos as well as a nodule on my thyroid. Wait & see until January for the nodule. I feel the best when I am inactive and the best when I am active, but everything in between is a struggle. I worry about my heart but no doctor has recommended/suggested that I need to see a heart doc.
Hi Thanks for trusting healthcaremagic for your health issues.
In hashimoto thyroiditis if your thyroid hormonal levels are with in normal level, wait and watch approach is preferred. If thyroid hormones are decreased than levothyroxin is started and usually it should be taken lifelong.
I think in your case endocrinologist must have done thyroid profile & it might be in normal range. That's why he / she told you to wait.
I hope this information will help you.
Regards Dr. Hiren
