What Do Swelling And Pain In The Right Hand Indicate?

I have swelling in my right hand and pain in the knuckle area. Came on unexpectedly yesterday. I have a history of infections. I have had staff infection and glad to have surgery 3 times in one week on my elbow to scrape all the infection out. Am worried I may have an infection again. Wife is wondering f gout

To make a diagnosis you may have to consult your family doctor,it may be infected as well as tendon inflammation from other causes as rheumatoid arthritis,gout etc. Meantime avoid doing work with the sick hand,use painkillers like Ibuprofen and take an appointment with your family physician.
