What Do Swelling And Stiffness In The Joints Indicate?

My dad is 75 years old and in good physical health otherwise. He does have arthritis, swelling of joints, and stiffness. However he is very unsteady and it s getting worse. He says his lower back is stiff, but it appears to be more. He says he s not dizzy, he doesn t drink or use drugs or prescription meds that might cause dizziness. Where should we start with treatment? What type of specialist?

osteoarthritis is very common in old age group, it’s basically wear and tear of joints over a period of time, symptoms are joint stiffeness in the morning and the stiffness decreases along the course of the day, swelling is also common in these patients, you can start by taking collagen supplements, it’s called collaflex one sachet with a glass of milk every morning , along with that he needs to do muscle strengthening physiotherapy, if it does not help than he should consult an orthopedist and may require joint replacement, regarding any more queries plz be free to contact me
