What Do Swelling And Stiffness In The Knees Indicate?
I had a knee replacement 7 years ago. I do have Rheumatoid and Osteo Arthritis. The knee has been fine, in fact I had the other one replaced 2 years ago. The last day or 2 my knee is swollen and stiff. Not painful, not reddened and not warm to touch. All my Rheumatoid meds are the same. I didn t have dental work done recently, don t remember any injury recently. I am paranoid about getting a joint infection

What Do Swelling And Stiffness In The Knees Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. You take rest. Put your leg on the heart level. Take diclofenac and paracetamol combination. Apply warm water bag on the affected part. Consult your physician for prescription. If not resolved then consult orthopedic surgeon. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Purva Patel
