Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Swelling In Eye And Cheek After Insect Bite Suggest?
My 5 year old was stung a few times yesterday at 3 pm and woke up this morning with swelling on her right eye/cheek and on her left cheek/lower lip. I gave her benadryl and ice packs a few hours ago and she has not ran fever and seems to be OK aside from the swelling. I can t seem to find the stingers or where she was stung but the swelled places are red. When should I seek medical help? At this point should I just keep an eye out for a possible infection? Basically just wait a few days for the swelling to go down if no infection? Thank you.

what you have done rite now is really good. but as a cautious get her checked by a physician to rule out any features of anaphylax. if there is no severe reaction like sound from chest and her blood pressure is normal. the medication and treatment which you follow rite now will be sufficient.
Hope it helps. If you need further, detailed and quick assistance related to any health issues in future, feel free to 'ask me a question' directly from my profile.
