What Do Swelling On Throat And Difficulty Swallowing Suggest?

I have been sick for about two weeks now. No sore throat but swollen glands and slight fever several times a day and night. I have been taking Methylprednisolone tablets, USP, 4mg. Last night I had the runs. Sometimes my throat feels tight and slightly difficult to swallow. I have pill left. What do I have and what should I do?

If I was your treating physician I would have prescribed you Azithromycin antibiotic class of drug if not allergic to.
