What Do Swollen Glands On Left Side Of Neck Indicate?
Hi, my 10 yr old son has a swollen gland on the left side of his neck. He has had 2 surgeries with tubes in both ears. The second surgery he also had his adenoids removed. He is complaining that he has some pain when he tries to swallow. Should I take him to the emergency room? Or should I wait to take him to his pediatrician in the morning? I have never seen this before.

I dont think this is an emergency unless he has breathing difficulties. So you can wait till tomorrow and this is probably tonsilitis or throat infection.
