What Do Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Abdomen Indicate?
I have about 12 to 15 swollen lymph nodes in my abdomen, and have abdomen pain (diffuse) , bloating but no fever. I had a vaginal hysterectomy on March 8th, and since the discharge is minimal, no foul odor. History of mitochondrial disease, dysautonomia with constipation. I had the on call Doctor, for my surgery, check me out when I noticed the lumps. He told me it was lymph nodes. Since then the abdominal pain started and more swollen nodes have popped up
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Enlarged lymph nodes have many causes. Common causes are infections like viral infection or bacterial or tuberculosis. This is common if there is pain and fever as well. Other, though less common include blood disorders including malignancies can also cause lymph nodes enlargement. So talk to your doctor, from detail history, and examination and some blood tests the cause may be sorted out. if not, then lymph node biopsy may be needed to know the cause.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
