What Do The Findings In The MRI Report Imply?

My MRI report is as below. Please guide.

Abnormal bone marrow contusion is noted in superior aspect of humeral head extending upto articular margin.

Partial tear of infraspinatus tendon is seen with involvement of articular margin.

T2 prolongation is noted within the substance of supraspinatus tendon suggestive of tendinosis. No evidence of any tear.

Partial tear is noted at the attachment site of subscapularis tendon with tendinosis of rest of the substance.

Mild joint effusion with thin rim of fluid tracking into coracoid recess.

Mild thickening of inferior axillary recess.

The acromioclavicular joint shows subtle fibro-osseous capsular hypertrophy. The acromion shows a flat to concave undersurface (type I to II).

Mild fraying of anterior labrum is noted. Rest of labrum appears normal.

Mild T2 prolongation is noted in biceps anchor with fluid around biceps tendon suggestive of tendinosis with biceps tenosynovitis.

Thanks & Regards

Radiologist 's  Response
Hello there,

Findings in mri are suggestive of an inflammatory condition in your rotator cuff or the joint in your shoulder.
It could be a new injury or a chronic and slowly progressing illness. Joint fluid brings about pain and limitation of movements.
High signal in the tendons likewise manifest as pain in the affected area.
Pain killers would be of great help, however, a consult to a rheumatologist or an orthopedic dr might prevent further deterioration of your joint conditions.
Thanks

Dr. Eric
