What Do The Following X-ray Results Indicate?

Hi doc, i got my xray result for the ape today, it states that suspicious density in the right upper lobe. With this it is suggested to have an apicolordotic view. Which i did. Results will be release tomorrow. Is it contagious? Do i have to undergo medication? Help me doc i have a 3 month old child and that is on top of my concern

Hi,

Density in upper right lobe of lung indicates involvement of lung tissue in infection forming pneumonia like condition. Epilordotic view of X ray identifies upper most part of lung ( apex involvement.) Contagiousness of the condition can be decided after investigations (Sputum culture, CBC) to find the causative organism. Please don't worry, proper treatment/ careful handling of baby would protect your baby from getting infected/ in some infections vaccination or preventive medication is given to baby to protect the baby and also other family members as per need.
