What Do The Following Blood Test Results Indicate?
Hello, I took a blood test and I got these results: TGO 46 TGP 75 Gamma GT 107 Alkaline fosfatase 111 Also triglyceride 419 and cholesterol 284 Whats going on?! I don t drink alcoholic beverages! And I don t do drugs, I take a Omega 3 pill daily (well, I don t exercise)
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The following things can be inferred based on the laboratory test reports you have enclosed: 1. SGOT levels with 46 is slightly elevated than normal. 2. SGPT levels with 75 shows nearly 3 fold increase above normal. 3. Gamma GT levels with 107 shows two fold higher than normal. 4. Alkaline phosphatase levels with 111 is slightly elevated than normal. 5. Triglycerides and Cholesterol levels has been seen to be grossly elevated than normal. It appears that you could be having fatty liver changes (non-alcoholic steato-hepatitis), which needs to be evaluated and managed. Kindly undertake ultrasound scan of the abdomen and consult Gastroenterologist with the reports for clinical evaluation and appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
