I have a patient that I am trying to diagnose for my class...and I need some assistance....She is a 17 years old with a history of smoking. 5 10 , fever of 104.5 F, tachycardia, hypertensive blood pressure readings, and an increased respiration rate. Also has chest pain and a cough for which OTC cold meds did not work. Inspection, Palpitation, percussion, and auscultation are all normal except for the following on the right lung: 2nd and 3rd intercostal spaces along the right mid-axillary line: diminished vesicular breath sounds; enhanced bronchial breath sounds; increased intensity and clarity of spoken voice and whispered sounds; egophony; fine rales near the end of deep inspiration. Percussion dullness is found at the same sites.
