What Do These BP Readings In A Person With Epilepsy Indicate?

I am a 59 year old male with epilepsy which I take medication for. I ride my bicycle a lot and do a lot of hill work. I have recently stopped my blood pressure meds. My blood pressure varies through the day from 130/ 58 to 128/53 to 118/51 to 111/51. Is this okay? I am a veteran and will be seeing my primary car Doctor in a week.

Hello,

Your BP recordings throughout the day have been good so far. But medications should not be stopped as such. Its better if you start your BP medication again to prevent hypertensive crisis and stroke. If you want a change in medication, you can ask your doctor but until then you have to use the current medication.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
