Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I am 9 weeks pregnant. Have bad morning sickness every other day, throwing up and diarrhea. I am having dizziness and head aches. As well as confusion. I went to the hospital for the nausea and had low blood pressure readings from 76/48, 79/56, 89/46. Is this normal or low? Could I have hypertension? Should I let my OBGYN know?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Your BP readings indicate you are suffering from low blood pressure or Hypotension. It is just opposite of hypertension. Low blood pressure can cause dizziness, confusion, low energy, headache etc. This could arise because of fluid loss due to diarrhea, vomiting etc. You should use Oral rehydration solution(ORS), if you are having repetitive diaarhea. Oral re-hydration solution is also avialable as ready made solution. Salt in diet should be increased. You would improve with time.
Refer to a gynecologist, if problem persist
Hope this helps
