What Do These FNAC And CBC Reports In Children Indicate?
My Child is 4 years 8 months old. His CBC & ESR is normal butmantoux test is 20 X 15 mm (positive). The FNAC from right side of cervical lymph node is Reactive Lymphoid Hyperplasia with immunoblastic proliferation. Then doctor what does it mean whether it is the case of Malignancy or simple treatment what kind of treatment should be given
Reactive lymphoid hyperplasia is not a malignancy, but a response to some form of inflammation such as a virus or other organisms. This is unlikely to be a tuberculous disease. No treatment may be needed other than a 3 month course of isoniazid to prevent TB from attacking him.
