Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had MRI s done on both knees due to severe for the past 4 months. The results of my left knee are medial meniscus: globular intermediate signal is noted within the posterior horn of the medial meniscus, consistent with myxoid degeneration. My right knee there is small effusion, joint fluid: a radial tear in the body of the medial meniscus. Can you please explain this to me? I m seeing my doctor in 10 days but I would prefer to know sooner if it s necessary for me to have surgery?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the report could be suggestive of degenerative disease of knee joint and can be well managed with medicine alone and seldom need surgery but clinical condition matters the great hope this information helps.
