What Do These Blood Sugar Levels For Frequent Urination In A Diabetic Patient Indicate?

Hi Doctor Shankdhar,my name is Vivek Soni and i am 47 yrs old.i was diagnosed with Diabetes around 14 months back with the sugar levels at - Fasting 159 and PP-278 and HbA1C level at 6.4 The doctor immediately advised me the following - Diet control, walk and Gluconorm SR 500 mg twice a day.I had been monitoring my sugar levels regularly and the results are as follows: Sugar          Date     Fasting     PP 03-05-2014     159     278 12-05-2014     110     139 31-05-2014     114     123 08-07-2014     119     213 30-08-2014     112     155 18-10-2014     103     141 17-11-2014     92     131 25-12-2014     92     121 16-04-2015     104     127 15-07-2015     110     146 06-08-2015     123     159         HbA1C          04-06-2014     6.4     29-01-2015     6.2     06-08-2015     5.9     Since last 15 days i am facing frequent urination problem specifically in the night.Request your advice on the above.regards

Hi,

Your investigation results denote that a better control of sugar level is essential. Hb1ac levels should be less than 5.7 to denote that the values are normal and better glycemic control is present. Diet modifications along with drugs is required to normalise the values. Urine sugar will reduce and frequent urination will also reduce by cutting back excess sugar in your diet.
