What Do These Homocysteine Levels Indicate?

I am genetically predisposed to hyperhomocysteinemia. My homocysteine level is 12.3 umol/L. I am 52 years old women. Is this considered normal range of homocysteine or slightly elevated? No family history of hear attack or stroke. Thank you, Natalie

Your homocysteine levels are normal..values below 15 are optimal. No worries.Hyperhomocysteinemia can be easily managed with vitamin B6, vitamin B9 and vitamin B12 supplementation.
