What Do These Scan Results For MRI,CT And PET Indicate For Renal Cell Carcinoma?
Hi, my mom is 62 years old and is detected with Renal Cell Carcinoma Stage IV. We got her MRI, CT Scan & PET SCAN done where there are signs of RCC, but, in Biopsy we didnt get anything. Want the Best doctor for my mom who can treat her & also the procedure on what next?? We re worried and want to start her treatment asap
Please repeat the biopsy as it would be the only confirmatory test and also will help you in determining the stage of disease along with other imaging studies already done. Once the disease is confirmed, the treatment modality can be finalized. The treatment can be done in any hospital having an oncology dept. along with dept. of nephrology.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
