What Do These Test Results Of Hemoglobin And Diabetes For Joint Pain Indicate?

Hello doctor,My mother has a diabetics more than 10 years..She has started joint pain from last year.(sandhivat).. yesterday we checked blood ..her haemoglobin is 9.. diabetics is 300. Her weight is 72 kg.While doing small home chores she feels giddiness nd sweating whole body.. pls suggest how will increase her haemoglobin.. Waiting for your reply..Thanks Varsha

thank you for asking your concern madam and welcome to HCM. yes decrease in hemoglobin may be the cause of giddiness and sweating but in case of diabetes and older patient we have to rule out other causes also. in your case anemia seems a cause but please check for hypertension, angina and kidney function by consulting your doctor. chances of above case are higer in diabetis. for anemia i would suggest you to first find cause of anemia. most common are iron deficiency, folate deficiency and in diabetes kidney disfunction is common cause. depend upon it treatment varries. if kidney disfunction is there hematinics or iron suppliment will not help much so reason is important.
