What Do These Test Results Reveal About My Child S Persistent Flu?
my 2 year old child has been running a fever for 3 days, tympanic membrane with slightly reddened on the periphery, throat is erythematous with +4 tonsils and diffuse exudate. anterior cervical nodules are easily palpable and tender to touch on left side. painful to swallow
The sign and symptoms you have mentioned here are:fever, reddened periphery, palpable and tender cervical nodules on left side, difficulty in swallowing.
This indicates Acute Tonsillitis, which indicates infection of tonsils. The reasons could be food with sugar, extremely cold foods etc.
This can be treated with antibiotics and analgesics. Amoxicillin suspension i.e. to reduce infection & Ibuprofen suspension to control pain is advised.Dose should be given according to weight of your child.these medicine will give you comfort.
If it doesn't get any relief within 48 to 72 hours, consult your nearest ENT Surgeon.
Wish your child a speedy recovery!
Thank you for choosing HealthCareMagic!
Thanks & Regards, Dr.Viraj Ravin Shah
