What Do These Thyroid Test Results For Joints Pain And Heart Palpitations Indicate?

Hi; I ve been on 90 mg of erfa for 5 years and while not always feeling great my symptoms have been manageable. Since January things have went sideways. In January my lab results showed hypothyroid again Tsh elevated low t4, low normal t3... So my dose was raised to 120 mg erfa I was / am feeling anxious, sore muscles, can t sleep, sore neck, finger joints painful, heart palapatations---exhausted. Last week Lab results showed 0.01 TSH, 9.2 t4 (very low lower than January) low normal t3.. My anti tpo has dropped since January from 120 to 90...(initially over 1000) Is this over medication?

Hi,

No. You might increase your thyroid medication to about 150 to 200 mg per day, which I recommend so that your thyroid gland function is adjusted.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Salah Saad Shoman, Internal Medicine Specialist
