Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do These Ultrasound And X-ray Reports Indicate?
My mother is 50 yr old female with sever LBP on left side..pain is continues and unbearable...her Ultrasound report showed right pelvi calyceal region fullness and x ray showed l5 s1 space reductions I.e spondylosis. what does peck calcyceal fullness mean and what is the cause of her pain ???
Thank you for using HCM. The low back pain is due to the lumbar spondylosis which is probably due to age related bone degeneration, does the X-ray report mention osteoporosis? She needs rest and pain meds with a lumbar back brace, once pain is subsided back exercises will be advised; please consult an orthopedic surgeon in this regard. Her bed should be hard and sleeping without a pillow would be better. The finding of right pelvicalyceal system fullness on ultrasound is pertaining to the kidney which means there's a dilatation of the kidney but there's no calculi (stones) detected so further observation and follow up is needed for that.
