What Do Vaginal Inflammation And Leg Cramps, Lingering For Weeks, Indicate?
I have really bad vaginal burning on and off for the past 3 weeks, went to my gyn and he took a sample and result was normal, he said it looks like a yeast infection, gave me antibiotics and other cream and also diflicun and nothing works, and know I m feeling cramps all down my legs. Went to medical doctor and all blood wort came back normal. What can this be. I was also have slight fever which went away..
If there was no improvement with the medication (the antibiotics, anti fungal) and no specific infection was found, you may want to consider whether the burning is neurological in nature.
Sensations is due to nerve function and abnormal function of the nerves can cause abnormal sensations such as burning.
It can be temporary or permanent and there are different possible causes. Some of the more common causes such as: (1) diabetes (2)trauma to the nerves in the area or in the lower back (3)liver or kidney disease (4)infection such as shingles (5)side effect of medication (6)thyroid disease (7)low vitamin b12 or folate
If the symptoms continue, then you should consider seeing a neurologist for assessment.
I hope this helps
