What Do Vomiting And Delayed Periods Indicate?

Hi! I had a late period by 5 days this past month with negative tests and started my period on the 5th day. After that period I had unprotected sex. That was 4 days ago and the past couple of days(mostly when I eat) I have been vomiting. I m not sure what s going on. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

If you Habe periods a few days back, then vomiting is very unlikely to be related to pregnancy. Vomiting after food more indicates some stomach problem like gastritis.

I would suggest, not to worry. Take some antacids like gaviscon 3 times and omeprazole once a day for a week.

Avoid heavy meals. Also, avoid spicy and pickled food for some time.

You may take gravitate for your vomiting (may cause little sedation so don't drive or use heavy machinery). In such cases motelium may be a better option.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
