What Do White Bumps Inside Mouth And Lips Indicate?
My healthy sports active 14 year-old son (5 10 155lbs) has had a sore throat for 5 days and recently noticed white bumps inside his mouth and lips and on the back of the throat. Is it always strep or could it be something else? He also had a low fever, and stuffiness.

It could be streptococcus or any other bacterial or fungal infection. For this reason, I recommend consulting with his attending physician for a physical exam, a throat bacterial culture and some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR, ASO titer antibodies).
