It seems many white marks on my leg. I had consulted with a doctor. He suggested me one ailment to appy body part. Is it useful to continue. I am 25 years old. I am very much disappointed with it . somebody assured me that they can completely cure it. Its a homeopathic clinic. They told me that , first they will diagnosis it and they will start treatment. Is it possible. Plz suggest me a good treatment.
White marks on the skin are commonly due to deficiency of vitamin D, E and calcium. Vitamin B12 deficiency causes vitiligo and hyper-pigmentation. Such marks can also be due to de-pigmentation, skin proteins or dead cells that become trapped under the skin's surface cause white marks.
Idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis (IGH), may also manifest with such symptom. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a dermatologist. Get the required skin and blood tests done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected and your clinical condition. Take a nutritious balanced diet.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
