What Do White Nodules On The Soles Of The Feet Indicate?

My daughter has multiple, small, white, nodules under the skin on the soles of both feet.....I am going to get her to a podiatrists asap, but just noticed them today because she had flip flops on. I am very concerned, as I have never seen anything like this before.
