Hello doctor, about a month ago I received a quick blowjob from an older guy off craigslist in his mid to late 30 s. I am 21 years old and it was the first time i ever received oral sex. I ve never had intercourse to this day as that was my first time engaging in sexual activity. I m not gay at all I was just in a really bad place sexually and did a one time desperate thing that will never happen again. It s the worst guilt and shame i have ever felt and it s hard for me to even function out of fear of having HPV. I was tested for all other major STD s and everything came back negative. HPV is the one I am concerned about as I can t stop fearing I will get penile cancer since HPV is linked to it. And since there are no tests for men for HPV it makes me even more scared since we re just out of luck as guys, which is really frightening. I ve read that transmission risks for HPV by receiving oral sex are really low but I just can t stop fearing I have it. I have noticed a bunch of tiny white spots on my genital area which I hope aren t genital warts but I don t know. Penile or genital cancer is my biggest fear of all since removal of the penis is the most common treatment and i can t think of anything more grotesque or disturbing than that as a man. I can t go a minute without thinking about this stuff and have already read as much online as I can in terms of everything HPV but of course my mind gets filled with tons of different information that I don t know what to do with.
