What Do Yellow White Tonsils Indicate?

Hi, I recently had a tonsilectomy (2days ago) and one side of my throat is so much sorer than the other.
Like where my tonsils use to be they were both like yellow white yesterday but now the really sore side is like a black colour.
Feels as if my whole side of my face and neck is swollen of that side.
Any ideas? Thank u

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that yellow white appearance of throat that is now appearing blackish indicates that you have got an infection in throat post tonsillectomy leading to pain along with sore and swollen face and neck..

You should consult your treating surgeon and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and advise you to take a course of higher antibiotics like Augmentin, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen to reduce swelling and pain and also do warm saline gargles..
Gargling with antiseptic mouthwash can also be helpful..
Take plenty of fluids and also avoid spicy and hard foods..
Take a soft and bland diet..
