What Do You Suggest For Reoccuring Vaginal Yeadt Infections?
i have been getting reoccurring vaginal yeast infections again. Several years ago this occurred also. Several years ago, i had to go through 2 rounds of monistat, 3 rounds of dyflucan, and tthan 3 other prescription mmedication. All the standard blood work i havehad previously on bs levels are normal. What kimd of tests should i ask my Dr. to check. I have pcos; using iud for that. Was gestational diaabetic with my son 2 yrs ago. Have checkedmy bs off & on with thefinger prick machine i had when i was pregnant. These numbers every time read normal.
Hello. Have you had a fasting blood sugar level and a 75g oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) test done? Repetitive yeast infection can be a sign of uncontrolled sugar level but not all the time. History of PCOS and gestational diabetes means you are at risk for diabetes though. The finger prick test you get is not standard testing for diabetes. I would advise to get the two tests done to be on the safe side. Talk to your doctor about it.
