What Do You Suggest For The Lack Of Pressure In My Stream?

i have lost the ability to urinate for distance --- no pressure in my stream. i miss the competition.im 55 years old i am 6 feet 5 inches tall, and weigh 308 pounds.somthing simple to increase my flow would make me feel taller and tougher. that last part was a joke. but it wouldent hurt.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi there.

Thanks for writing in .

With advancing age in males, the first thing that comes to my mind is BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy)...In which one of the symptoms is poor stream of urine. Other symptoms being urgency, hesitancy, dribbling of urine, increased frequency of urination.

Other possibilities are prostate cancer, prostatitis etc .

I would advise you to visit a urologist at the earliest.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
