What Do You Suggest For The Pain In My Back When On Ibuprofen With A History Of Blood Clots In My Lungs?
I thought I pulled a muscle in my back but I really didn t do anything to cause it. It is on the right side of my upper back kind of below the right bone. It has been 3 days and it is actually visibly swollen. It is very painful on the right side of my back. I have been trying a heating pad, ibuprofen. It is not getting any better. I had two disks replace in my neck last April but I don t think this has anything to do with that. I also had blood clots in my lungs pulmonary embolism three weeks after surgery. Spent five days in the hospital for that. I am getting a little worried about this pain in my back. I am hoping it is just a pulled muscle but could it be more serious?
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should definitely get done chest x ray and consult pulmonologist for this. With Histroy of pulmonary embolism there is high chances of pulmonary infarction. And pain of pulmonary infarction is not relieved by analgesic. You have to take blood thinner (warf) regularly and titrate dose according to PT report. So don't take your symptoms lightly, consult your pulmonologist for this.
