What Do You Suggest For The Pain In My Left Hip/butt Area After An Injury?

Hi, I fell on the ice today and fell on my back/hips. It hurt quite a lot and I thought that I had just bruised my tail bone good. But its been over 12hrs since I fell and while my butt and lower back are bruised I realized that the pain I have is in my left hip/butt area. Its not the side of my hip but like the back of my left butt cheek but I know its the joint. I have been icing it since but the pain is still there and I cant walk correctly.
Thanks for your help.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I have read your query.

In my opinion you should not take it lightly. To rule out any severity you should get xray pelvis with both hips and xray coccyx lateral view done and discuss it with your doctor.

If nothing bony injury occur than its ok.

Your doctor after analysing your xray and physical examination will advise you further medicine like aceclofenac + serratiopeptidase.

Avoid sitting on hard surface.

I hope you have get your answer.

Thanks.

Dr.Singh.
