What Do You Suggest For The Pain When I Walk Wearing A Knee Brace?
Hi there, a few days ago I dislocated my left knee- it actually went to the side of my leg and all my weight was on it at the time. I was able to push it back into place rather quickly. This happened while getting into my car and has happened several times in the past. I m a 22 year old male. It is of course extremely painful when this happens and during recovery but this time seems to be especially so. I have been taking Motrin, keeping it elevated (rice), with ice several times a day, and staying off of it as much as possible- but wearing a knee brace whenever I do have to walk but it is very painful and I can barely bend my leg. At this time I am unsure of what to do going forward. Should I go to the doctor or try and wait it out with rest and patience in healing? I appreciate your advice. :)
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern, from the history given here I could say that if your knee joint is not stable then this could be posterior muscles problem of knee, (Posterior cruciate muscle) you have to investigate this muscle in my opinion the brace would not help you any more, hope this information helps you, have a nice day.
