Hello and welcome,

I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.

Worm infestation may cause iron deficiency anemia. So it is best to treat them early. They will not cause any direct harm to the baby so do not worry. Take tablet albendazole 400 mg single dose and repeat it after 7 days for complete cure. The drug is category C meaning the risk to the baby in pregnancy is not documented as good quality research is not available. However it is used extensively as it is very effective and as such adverse effects have not been reported.
So you may take it safely.
Hope this helped.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
