Hello,
Thanks for trusting Healthcaremagic!
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

As per your description, your father has a fibrosing(scarring) lesion over the apex of his left lung. This finding usually indicates a lesion caused old and healed tuberculosis. They are generally not an active disease focus and no treatment is needed in most of the cases.
He has to do a sputum examination to rule out the presence of active tuberculosis.

Another finding in this film is atheromatous aorta,it is nothing but an age related changes due to calcium and cholesterol deposition over his aorta(one of his major blood vessel). It is common finding in people aged above sixty and no treatment is necessary.

Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
