Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does the following pelvic Ultrasound Result Indicate?
My doctor just called to tell me my pelvic US showed a ruptured cyst in the right, a 2cm hemorrhagic cyst in the left ovary and a 1/2cm non-specific cyst in the lining of the uterus. I also have an infection in my urine (foul smelling urine) and two weeks ago had blood in my stool. What could be the cause of all of this at once?
The constellation of symptoms in terms of hemorrhagic cyst of the ovary, foul smelling urine and blood in the stool indicate pelvic inflammation through some sort of bacteria. Kindly get a swab culture of the vagina and urine for finding out the cause of infection so that susceptible antibiotics must be coursed for the period of times and cure it at earliest without further damage to the genito urinary system.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
