Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a deep cough for a few months now-sometimes with a thickish-green tinged sputum. Initially had an asthmatic-like wheezing bronchitis following weeks of coughing and not feeling well. There is pain in my left side ribcage with coughing. I had a CT scan that said: No interstitial lung disease is identified. There is minimal apical pleural-parenchymal scarring bilaterally. Minimal pleural-parenchymal scarring is present in the left costophrenic sulcus posteriorly and medially. Is this anything to worry about Is my ribcage pain on the left associated with this?
Hello dear Greetings Regarding your experience with cough productive of thick green sputum with pain at the left ribcage with a CT scan that minimal apical Pleural parenchymal scarring I will suggest you have developed a pulmonary fibrosis
