Hi I had CT PNS scan... Below are the impressions in report. 1 left maxillary sinus polyp. 2 Hypertrophied inferior turbinates and right concha bullosa. 3 S-shaped nasal septum with a bony spur projecting from its surface. what does this means? Doctor wanted to confirm for sinus. am i suffering from sinus?? doctor has already confirm me migraine.
CT findings suggests polyp in left maxillary sinus.Generally polyps develops due to chronic inflammation. It may be due to chronic sinusitis resulting from allergy etc. Hypertrophied inferior turbinates and right chocha bullosa may be related to chronic allergic sinusitis. There is also deviated nasal septum. You may need proper treatment for chronic sinusitis. Avulsion of polyp can be done if needed. You may also need septoplasty(surgical correction of deviated nasal septum)with bony spur excision. This can decrease severity of illness.
Your findings need clinical evaluation.
