I had a recent ultrasound scan - pelvis transabominal . The report reads - Bulky anteverted fibroid uterus measuring approx 16.3 x 7.5 x 12cm -Largest fibroid measure: 1) -Anterior fibroid = 4.1 x 4.1 x 4.4 cm 2) posterior fibroid = 6.1 x 4.9 x5.1 3) left lateral fibroid = 2.6 x 2.3 x 2.6 cm 4) posterior fibroid = 6.9 x 6.0 x 7.4cm Midline echo noted.Edometrial thickness = 8.6mm LMP 2 weeks ago Both ovaries appear slightly enlarged but normal in outline - Right ovary = 4.0 x 2.0 x 2.7cm - left ovary 4.7 x 1.8 x 2.7 cm -No obvious cysts/adnexal masses or free fluid seen.
-is there are cause for concern for the enlarged ovaries. -What is the best treatment. - I am 39 years old. -is cancer a possibility -Am suffering constant back pain. periods heavy and prolonged. -Iron levels low - 97 -
1.The concern is about the multiple fibroid in the mentioned location. 2.because of multiple fibroid s the uterus is bulky which cause prolonged excessive bleeding. 3.Which needs attention - either operative or intervention procedure - depending on your family status ( kids) 4. Ovaries are bulky but there is no obvious abnormality mentioned, like mass or lesion. So no need to worry about it. 5. Endometrium is within limits.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
