Hi I did my leg MRI and below is the report. Grade 1 signal change along the posterior horn of medial meniscus. Grade 2 chondromalacial changes along medial and lateral patellar articular cartilage. Mild pdsf hyper intense signals along lateral and medial cartilages with underlined marrow changes showing pdsf hyper intense signals.Globular pdsf hyper intense signals along posterior horn of medial meniscus is not reaching upto the articular cartilages. I m presently taking Megafreeflex and Osteocar tablets
1. Chondromalacial changes - means softening of the cartilage in the mentioned locations. 2.The meniscus shows signal intensity changes suggestive of tear or degenerative changes. 3.If there is history of trauma it suggest of traumatic cause. If not then degenerative changes. 4. Degenerative changes are age related or excessive weight bearing or hard working individuals with weight bearing. 5. For the bone and cartilage changes the treatment is good - for meniscus it needs repair. Some time total knee replacement surgery - depending on the joint and bone condition.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
