Hi,
The following things can be concluded based on the chest x-ray report you have furnished.
1. Bronchovascular markings are prominent - blood vessels of the lung are prominent and is considered to be normal.
2. No definite active parenchymal infiltrates - lung tissue is suggestive to be normal and there is no indication of presence of infection such as
tuberculosis.
3. Heart shadow is enlarged - This is termed as 'cardiomegaly', which could be due age-related hypertensive changes.
4. Diaphragm is intact - Considered to be normal.
5. Rest of the visualised thoracic structures are unremarkable - No abnormalities are seen with other thoracic structures.
Hence, the report can be considered as normal findings, except for the
enlarged heart, which needs to be evaluated.
You may need further investigations like an
echocardiogram to know if there are any abnormalities pertaining to the heart.
Kindly
consult Cardiologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
