28 y/o Female Breast feeding mother History of gaint cell granuloma in left mandible .. surgury is done last month.. Blood test : Calcium 10.0 mg/dl Phosphorus 1.89 mg/dl TsH 0.188 uIu/ml Intact PTH 1174 pg/ml ESR 1 h 11 mm/h ESR 2 h 25 mm the Diagnosis ... hyperparathyroid ?! And what should I do next ?! Can I keep breast feeding?.! Do i need a surgury to treat this high level of PTH ?! To remove the gland? The ca seem normal And no history or any complain of pain Good general health

welcome to ' Ask a doctor ' service . First , you have to undergo scan for parathyroid glands as thyroid parathyroid substraction scan .Then if glands are enlarged , only 3 complete and partial fourth gland will be removed . First , get investigated . I hope I have solved your query .
