What Does this semen Analysis Result Mean?

Hi , My wife was suffering with ectopic pregnancy last month,which we aborted. Is my semen is the cause for this ???? Semen Culture & Analysis done last week. My semen analysis report shows 1.Volume - 3 ml 2. Sperm Count - 118 Millions 3. Motility - 67 % 4. Rapid Progression - 24% 5. Slow progression - 32 % 6. Non Progressive - 11% 7. Immotile - 33% 8. Morphology Normal - 25% 9. Head defects - 53% 10. Tail Defects - 22% 11. Round cell - 2-3/HPF Semen - Culture & Sensitivity Culture. No growth Result. Sterile after 24 hrs of aerobic incubation at 37 degree C.

Hello

Your semen analysis suggests almost normal findings.

Sperm count is normal.Normally count should be at least 20 millions/ml.
Your sperm count findings suggests 118 millions/ml.

Sperm motility and morphology are also normal.
Motility should be at least 55 %.Your findings suggests over all 67 % motility,so it is normal.

Sperm morphology is also normal.Only 16 % normal sperm morphology is required for natural fertilization.You have 25 % normal morphology sperms.

Other factors like semen volume is also normal.
It is good there is no evidence of infection.
