What Does this transvaginal Ultrasound Result Mean?
I had a transvaginal ultrasound on friday, the result statesThe uterus measures 7.8 x 3.5 x 5.3 cm and is of heterogeneous echogenicity. No focal masses are noted. The endometrial stripe is homogenous, measuring 7.5 cm. I am 34 years old, no menses since September 2 2016, I ve had weight gain significantly (around 15 lbs in 3 months with no change in diet/exercise), no diabetes, thyroid, hormone issues noted after bloodwork. I have had 2 C-sections (2002 and 2004), 2 miscarriages (2000 and 2003), 2 D&C s (2003 and 2013), a tubal ligation (2005) looking for thoughts on the endometrial stripe thickness/results as stated above.
Hello and welcome to HCM, I suggest you to go for endometrial biopsy. The thickness of endometrium is increased. These changes could be hormonal in origin.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
